From Sketch to Stone - How We Design a SpiritPalette Piece

SpiritPalette design process

Every SpiritPalette piece starts with a question: What energy do we want someone to feel when they put this on? Not what looks good in a flat lay. Not what fits a trend report. What energy.

Step 1: The Energy Brief

Before we touch a single bead, we define the intention. Is this piece for protection? Creative flow? Emotional balance? The energy brief determines everything downstream - the crystal color, the charm selection, even the packaging.

For the Aether Cross bracelet, the brief was: Protection + clarity. Something you wear when you need to speak your truth and stay shielded at the same time. That led us to cyan cat-eye (throat chakra, expression) + turquoise cross (ancient protection stone).

For the Chroma Rebel, the brief was: Full-spectrum energy. For people who can't be contained in one color or one mood. That's why it's multi-color. That's why it has three charms instead of one.

Step 2: Crystal Sourcing

Cat-eye crystals aren't grown - they're cut. The optical band that defines a cat-eye stone is the result of precise lapidary work that aligns the stone's internal fibers with the curve of the cabochon. We source from suppliers who specialize in this specific cut, because a bad cat-eye looks flat. A good one moves.

We test every batch: hold it under natural light, tilt it 45 degrees, watch the band shift. If it doesn't dance, it doesn't make the cut.

Step 3: Charm Curation

Charms aren't randomly picked. Each one is Y2K street culture archaeology. The 8-ball: pool hall hip-hop. The yin-yang: 90s philosophical streetwear. The dice: skate-and-gamble energy. The turquoise cross: ancient protection meets modern rebellion.

Every charm on a SpiritPalette piece was chosen because it means something. Not because it was trending on a supply sheet.

Step 4: The Wear Test

Before any piece goes to production, we wear it. For weeks. Through workouts, through rain, through 3 a.m. creative sessions. If the elastic stretches out, we change suppliers. If a charm tarnishes, we change alloys. If the crystal loses its shimmer after daily wear, we go back to sourcing.

We don't make delicate jewelry. We make pieces built for the people who live in them.

The Result: Jewelry That Moves With You

A SpiritPalette piece isn't finished when it leaves the studio. It's finished the first time you stack it, style it, make it yours. The design process is just the opening chapter - you write the rest.
