Not every piece is born from a bright idea. Some come from darker places. The Rebel 8 Edition is one of those.
The Pitch That Almost Got Cut
When we were designing the Chroma Rebel necklace collection, we had three colorways locked: Multi-Color (full spectrum), Polar Blue (cool and calm), and a third slot that was supposed to be something safe. Maybe rose gold. Maybe clear crystal. Something that would sell.
One of our designers pushed back. We have the bright piece and the calm piece,
they said. We need the heavy one. The one that feels like 2 a.m.
That became Rebel 8.
8
The number of infinity turned on its side.
The number of the pool ball that ends the game.
The number of completion, then rebirth.
What Makes the Rebel 8 Different
The Rebel 8 isn't just a darker colorway. The cat-eye crystals were selected for depth, not brightness. They don't flash - they smolder. The optical band is narrower, more controlled, like a slit of light under a closed door. Paired with the same adjustable chain (16.5 to 18.5 inches), freshwater pearl accents, and hypoallergenic silver alloy as the rest of the line. But the energy? Completely different.
.99 - same price as the other Chroma Rebel necklaces. Because intensity shouldn't cost more.
Who Is Rebel 8 For?
It's not for everyone. That's the point. The Rebel 8 is for:
- The night owls who do their best work after everyone else is asleep
- The ones drawn to darker aesthetics - gothic, moody, cinematic
- People who want a statement piece that doesn't scream, but whispers with authority
- Anyone who's ever been told they're
too intense
and decided that was a compliment

Rebel 8 - the heavy one
The Number 8 in Context
Eight is loaded symbolism: in numerology, it represents power and karmic balance. In Chinese culture, it's the luckiest number (prosperity, infinity). In pool, it's the final ball - the one that decides the game. In the Y2K streetwear lexicon, the 8-ball was everywhere, a symbol of risk and the make-or-break moment.
The Rebel 8 draws from all of this. It's not just a name. It's a frequency.
How to Style Rebel 8
Don't pair it with bright colors. The Rebel 8 works best against black, charcoal, deep burgundy, midnight blue. Let the dark cat-eye crystals create contrast against matte fabrics. If you're stacking bracelets, the Aether Cross (cyan) creates an unexpected tension - light against dark, clarity against intensity.
Rebel 8 is the piece you wear when you want to be asked about it. And you will be.
